Home buyers are going out and looking at many houses in a short amount of time. After viewing house after house, they soon start to blend together. Don’t let them forget about yours! Make your home stand out with these 3 tips!

3 Tips to Help Your Home Stand Out

1. Have Your Home Inspected

This will help you isolate the repairs you need to address before you list your home. If you make the most important repairs, you’ll be ahead of the game and may be able to list your home for more than if you left the issues unsolved. Buyers will feel confident knowing that you were proactive in fixing up the home and may even waive their request to have their own inspection done! Zillow has a great article about home inspections and what sellers will typically see on the report – click here to check it out.

2. Declutter and Start Packing

Buyers want to see the details of the home, so be sure they have a great view! You’ll have to pack when you move anyway; starting the process now allows you to pack up anything you don’t use regularly, including valuable dishes, photos and knick-knacks. If you don’t have much storage space, rent a storage unit for a month or two. Every space in your home is valuable and buyers want to see it all – don’t shove all your unused items in your storage area and cause and overflowed eye sore!

3. Stage Your Home

When you’re selling your home, it’s difficult to see it through the eyes of a potential buyer. A professional stager will present your home in the best possible light – making sure the focus is on the features that sell such as a great view or notable architecture. Most staging companies charge 60+ dollars an hour to help stage your home, but as a certified home stager, I offer these services for FREE when working with a client.
